I’m Roselyn Unegbu and I am currently Head of Capital Delivery at London Borough of Tower Hamlets; responsible for the delivery of the Borough’s build asset programme which includes schools, residential buildings, leisure centres and community spaces. I am an experienced, motivated senior professional with over 22 years in the field of construction programme leadership. I have considerable experience as a volunteer in the areas of children’s education, school governance, homeless shelters and professional and personal mentorships.

I communicate at executive board-level with independent judgment to bear on issues of strategy, performance, and resources, including key appointments and standards of conduct, with the same commitment to organisational success. I have worked with schools, education charities, NHS, housing associations, public and private sector organisations and hope to bring my experience of corporate governance and management.

I have worked in various voluntary positions relating to child development and learning, both as a member of the Inspiring the Future programme and school governor for over 5 years; going into schools with varying learning abilities, demonstrating the value of life experience as well as classroom-based learning has been immensely rewarding. With a background in business strategy, construction and leadership, I am a strong believer in the right of all children to a high standard of education, regardless of socio-economic circumstances.
