After graduating from the University of Kent in 2012, Dan began his career at Inspire Academy as a Teaching Assistant. Since then, he has built his career at the academy, progressing through a range of teaching and leadership roles including Teacher of Physical Education, Middle Leader for Behaviour, Assistant Headteacher, and now Head of School. His journey reflects both his dedication to the school community and his strong belief in helping every young person succeed. Dan is particularly passionate about developing staff, growing talent from within, and fostering a strong sense of belonging - values that closely align with those of Rivermead Inclusive Trust.
As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, Dan played a key role in the academy’s journey to achieving a ‘Good’ Ofsted rating in 2023, supporting improvements in both the quality of provision and outcomes for pupils.
With over 14 years’ experience working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Dan is passionate about creating a supportive, inclusive environment where every young person feels understood, valued, and able to reach their full potential - both academically and personally.
