Following the successful National Lottery bid at Walderslade Primary, the first phase of our community project has been completed. We wanted to develop a space that can be utilised by not only the children within our school, but also the children within the local community.

We are delighted with the outcome; the development of the space allows for the children to play with freedom and creativity. The space now includes a mud kitchen, water wall, outdoor storage, mud, water and sand pits and, very loud, African drums!

We already have a local nursery utilising the space on a weekly basis, as they have limited outdoor space. We are hopeful that this will continue to build and allow other local community groups to make use of our wonderful school outdoor space.
